The minimum and maximum projected annualized salary for this position is: $117,020 to $200,606. Additional compensation may be possible based on experience and skills.

We understand the need to be creative and flexible when it comes to telecommuting and other alternative work arrangements. This position is eligible for our hybrid remote work and will work in the Rockville, MD office four days per week.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Vendor Management oversees the processes and systems in place to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor risks associated with third-party vendors or service providers. This role is critical given the Bank's reliance on third parties in providing its products and services and ensuring that third-party relationships do not expose the bank to undue risks, such as operational, financial, legal, regulatory, or reputational risks. This individual will ensure that third-party relationships are properly managed and monitored to minimize risk exposure in accordance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies. The role involves working closely with various departments, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and effective risk management strategies.

Qualifications:

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Risk, Economics, or related field; additional work experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • 10 years of experience in financial services, developing, executing, updating, and managing vendor risk management programs.
  • Proven experience in designing and managing enterprise-wide third-party risk management programs.
  • Familiarity with third-party risk management tools and systems.
  • Communication and influencing skills to direct higher levels of management.
  • Knowledge of regulatory expectation relating to third party risk management, contract management.
  • General knowledge of risk management fundamentals.
  • Ability to multitask.
Preferences:
  • Relevant Certifications including CRVPM (Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager).
  • Knowledge of using and maintaining the system supporting the management of vendors.
  • Understanding of banking operations.
