Maximum Salary. USD $55,000. 00/Yr. Overview. Provides appropriate and clinically indicated services to children, adolescents, families and adults. Maintains clinical records within all federal, state, and city regulations documenting all services provided. Responsibilities. ESSENTIAL TASKCompletes clinical assessments for children, adolescents, families, and adults referred from hospital emergency rooms, schools, foster care agencies, ACS, social service agencies, and the community. Provides direct clinical services including individual, family, group, and crisis intervention as clinically indicated. Full-time staff achieves weekly standard of 25 billable visits
(pro-rated for part-time employees). Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team. Maintains clinical records in compliance with all city, state, and federal regulations as per the city Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Alcoholism Services, the State Office of Mental Health, and the State of New York Department of Health. Complies with managed care requirements including consulting with care coordinators, obtaining treatment authorization, and providing necessary documentation. Participates in agency training/in-service programs.
25 billable visits per week is the expected minimum, in order to achieve this consistently it is necessary to well exceed this number during peak times in order to make up for off-peak times. A group of 4 or more is equivalent to two (2) billable visits. OTHER Attends weekly individual supervision with clinical supervisor. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications. Education: Masters degree in social work and licensure as LMSW or LCSW Training and Experience: Successful completion of internship(s) during Masters program. Job Knowledge: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Cultural competency is essential. Continued employment is conditioned on the ability to maintain professional licensure, current registration and participation as a provider in the Medicaid and Medicare programs ESSENTIAL MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to work under stress.
